About our guests: Ronald Beiner, Ph.D., is chair and professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto, a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and author of numerous books, including Dangerous Minds: Nietzsche, Heidegger, and the Return of the Far Right. Trained as a political philosopher and theorist, Beiner holds a doctorate in philosophy from Balliol College Oxford and has published widely on liberalism, citizenship and other ideologies. He is the author of What’s the Matter with Liberalism?, Philosophy in a Time of Lost Spirit and Political Philosophy: What It Is and Why It Matters. Jonathan Allen, Ph.D., is associate professor of Political Science at Northern Michigan University.
