Gabriel Noah Brahm

Gabriel Noah Brahm, Ph.D., is Professor of English and World Literature at Northern Michigan University, where he specializes in philosophical anthropology, the great books of Western civilization, Middle East Studies, literary theory and political philosophy. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of California (Santa Cruz), Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey), the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), and Shandong University (Weihai, China). In 2018-19, he was named the Peter White Scholar at NMU, for his work on free speech issues and efforts to improve the campus climate in regards to viewpoint diversity. He is host (with co-host, Timothy Eggert) of the Public Liberty Podcast.


Timothy M. Eggert

Timothy Eggert is a Master’s student in the Public Affairs Reporting program at the University of Illinois Springfield and a NMU alumnus. He is co-host (with Gabriel Brahm) of the Public Liberty Podcast, the former Editor-in-Chief of the North Wind (NMU’s independent student newspaper), and a Michigan Press Association Foundation Scholar (2018-19).
